Kangana Ranaut's performance in Manikarnika-The Queen of Jhansi, a biopic on freedom fighter Jhansi Lakshmi Bai is widely appreciated. However the film landed in controversy as Krish and Kangana indulged in war of words over the credits for directing it.

Though many days passed after the film release, the controversy refuses to die and now Manikarnika ghost came haunting Kangana once again. Krish went into silent mode after asserting "I've had my say. No more. If she wants to believe she directed all of 'Manikarnika', so be it. Everyone knows the truth."

Now many are questioning Kangana's dance when Manikarnika was pregnant. Everyone knows that Rajput women used to follow strict traditions and they never danced in public.

The same issue turned controversial during Deepika Padukone's Ghoomar dance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat. Similar lengthy dance sequence was shot on Kangana with Manikarnika as pregnant and dancing with all the people of their state embarrassing her husband King of Jhansi (Jisshu Sen Gupta).

A source from the film unit reveals that Kangana included the dance sequence and it was her idea. The source wonders, "Ek toh Rani, opoopar se garbhbati . How can she be shown dancing in that unbecoming fashion? Krish was totally against the idea. The song-and-dance was added on by Kangana after Krish left."
