VVR, NTR, F2 Breakeven Targets

Out of all the Sankranthi releases Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer F2- Fun And Frustration is turning out to be true blockbuster, whereas Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama is doing solid business in mass centers despite getting negative talk post release. Here is the analysis on recovery of all the Sankranthi releases so far.

NTR Kathanayakudu released first among all the releases of the festival with massive expectations. The prestigious venture of Balakrishna directed by Krish has collected nearly Rs 18.5 crores for 8 days worldwide. The film needs to recover 54.33 crore which seems an impossible task with Sankranthi holidays are coming to end. The recovery percentage is just 25, as the film made a record pre-release business of 72.23 Cr.

Vinaya Vidheya Rama was predicted to take Ram Charan’s image to next level. Out of the blue, the Boyapati directed film was slammed by critics for over bloodshed and regular content. Interestingly, Sankranthi holidays helped the film to rake big numbers in first week. VVR worldwide theatrical rights were sold for Rs 90 cr and the film recovered close to 54.50 Cr in 6 days. To reach breakeven stage, the film needs to collect another 38.54 Cr in its lifetime run. The film’s fate depends on how it performs in next week.

F2- Fun And Frustration is the last release among the Sankranthi outings. But, this Anil Raghavapudi directed film took full advantage of the festival. With enough entertainment and presence of two popular stars, F2 is having dream run at box office. The film that had done a worldwide theatrical pre-release business of Rs 34.50 crores has collected a share of Rs 32.10 crores for five days. The film is sure to cross breakeven mark by today. So, Dil Raju and buyers will enjoy huge profits with the film.
