It has been just 3 days when Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas tied the knot in Jodhpur and the couple has become the hot topic of meme creators. The couple hosted their wedding reception in Delhi couple of days ago and Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the occasion which was also attended by many celebrities across the nation.

Interim, a popular magazine of New York ‘The Cut’ published a controversial article in its latest issue in which journalist Maria Smith called Priyanka Chopra a ‘global scam artist’. The journalist wrote, “All Nick [Jonas] wanted was a possible fling with Hollywood’s latest It Woman, but instead he wound up staring straight at a life sentence with a global scam artist.”

The article also criticized former Miss World for her celebrity lifestyle. “Priyanka’s commitment to monetizing this life milestone should have been a huge red flag for Nick, but poor thing seems to be blinded by love,” journalist mentioned.

In an interview Priyanka spoke about this controversy and said, “I don’t want to talk in this matter. It is not of my level. Instead I am enjoying my new life.” Bollywood celebrities and family members of both Priyanka and Nick opposed this article.

Sonam Kapoor is one amongst the many outraged Twitter users who have responded angrily. A furious Sonam tweeted, "For a publication that 'shows women what they are made of' The Cut has a lot to answer for. The article on Priyanka Chopra was sexist, racist and disgusting. Also it's written by a woman which is so sad. It reeks of envy and bitterness."

Later, the magazine deleted the article and posted a new article with the heading ‘Priyanka and Nick’s Love Real or Fake’ and also issued an apology, stating “An earlier story about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas did not meet our standards. We’ve removed it and apologize.”
