Mass Maharaja Raviteja is reeling under immense pressure with his films one after the other are bombing at box office. He is next coming up with Amar Akbar Antony buzz on which is minimal owing to poor promotions. The film directed by Srinu Vaitla is about to release in just 8 days. Unfortunately, makers of the film are yet to start publicity activities.
Producers of Mythri Movie Makers who delivered hat trick hits with their first three films have tasted first flop with Savyasachi that co-starred Naga Chaitanya. The Chandoo Mondeti directorial made on high budget is unable to recover even one third of its investment.
The same producers invested bomb on Raviteja’s Amar Akbar Antony which was extensively shot in USA. Apparently, the producers who are in big shock with their first flop are in waiting mode. This is really perturbing Raviteja who desperately needs a hit at this moment.
On the other hand, Mythri Movie Makers planned to remake Vijay’s Tamil hit Theri. Power Star Pawan Kalyan was the original choice. But, Pawan as is known bid adieu to films. Then, the producers approached Raviteja for the remake. Santosh Srinivas was supposed to direct the film. However, as per latest reports, this film got shelved.
Seems like, Mythri Movie Makers are not willing to take another risk for now. Theri was released in Telugu as Policeodu and it got lukewarm response here. So, they have decided to cancel the project and more importantly have turned firm about scripts of their next ventures. This decision is surely a double jolt for Raviteja!
