Pelli Choopulu Director Insulted

Movie lovers cannot forget the romantic rom-com Pelli Choopulu which created sensation in Tollywood. The film’s cast and crew, Vijay Deverakonda, Ritu Varma, Priyadarshi and director TharunBhaskar attained overnight stardom with this film.

The film is getting remade in various languages and in the midst of all this it is coming out that Bollywood makers are insulting Tharun Bhaskar. It is known that if a hit film is getting remade in other languages, it is mandatory to give credits to the original makers, at least to the story writer.

However Bollywood is never used to such courtesies. Many times they remade hit South films but they never gave credit to the original makers.

Pelli Choopulu is getting remade in Bollywood with the title Mitro. The film’s trailer was released recently and those who watched it found out that the film is a carbon copy of Pelli Choopulu.

But nowhere the name of Tharun Bhaskar was mentioned in the credits. Nitin Kakkar directed the remake with Jackie Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra in leads. The film will be releasing next month. One has to wait and see whether Tharun Bhaskar’s name will be seen on the silver screen.
