When asked whether he gets angry with the system in the country, Gopichand said there is nothing like that but he came across many who say 'life is good in foreign countries unlike India.' They speak everything is waste and useless in India. He says, 'Tell them that you people follow rules in foreign countries but compete to break rules in India'.

When asked what difference he saw in foreign countries and in India as he himself studied there, he said, 'I went to Russia for studies. I enjoyed the student life a lot. Family bonding and human relations are strong in Russia. We are only aping the western culture. We are not realizing now but after burning our hands return back to our culture and traditions."

When pointed out that his dialogues in Pantham showed mirror to the society, Gopichand replied saying the problem is not somewhere but it lies within self. If one starts living in a rightful manner, everything will be fine. He said unless people change, no one can help.
