Kaala a Loss Venture Everywhere!

Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's Kaala was opened with negative talk and poor collections at Tollywood trade. The film collected a total of Rs.6.33s crores in its first weekend's run in Telugu states. It's going to incur heavy losses as theatrical rights of the movie were sold out to Rs.33 crores.

Since the first day's openings were little better in Tamil Nadu it was thought that the film would become a safe venture in Tamil Nadu. However, nothing of that sort is happening. The film has done a total pre release business Rs.60 crores in Tamil Nadu while it recovered just Rs.25 crores by its first weekend. 

Kaala's world wide theatrical business for all languages is valued to Rs.165 crores. But then, the movie minted Rs.58 crores so far. Having gone through the current trend, the movie may just collect half of its theatrical rights price.
