Young Heroine Room Sharing With Boys

Shalini Pandey though did only two films but captured the imagination of young male hearts. While in Arjun Reddy, she stunned in a bold, sensuous role… she took everyone by surprise as Preeti in Mahanati, the role of Savitri’s friend Suseela sporting a traditional look. Her performances in two contrasting roles won appreciation and accolades from all the corners.

Remembering the past, Shalini Pandey said that she shared room with boys while trying the luck in films. 

‘My dad was against my entry into films and stopped me from joining the glamour industry. In fact, he forced me not to do Arjun Reddy because he was firm that whoever enters films will end up begging on roads. But, I came out of house and shared room with the boys. Of course, I have a tomboy attitude from beginning and sharing room with boys changed my outlook towards them. They never misbehaved with me and instead protected a lot,’ said Shalini.
