Pawan Kalyan and BJP Alliance for Sure!

Political history of Telugu Desham Party displays never ever had the party, without alliances, got the victory in general polls under Chandrababu Naidu's leadership. As such, Naidu makes many attempts desperately to get tied up with various political parties for every poll battle. TDP immensely supported by BJP and Janasena during 2014's general polls. Now that Janasena is expected to contest in all the constituencies deserting its support to TDP, the latter is now trying by hook or crook to get BJP's support for next elections.

The reason behind TDP keeping mum on AP's special status and Polavaram injustice is to continue it alliance with the BJP. On the other hand, opposition party YSRCP has also been wooing BJP for a long time. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy proclaimed that they would extend support to the BJP if the latter announces special category status to AP. With this gesture the party aimed at one shot two birds, with TDP - BJP breakup and YCP-BJP tie up.

Man proposes and god disposes! Similarly BJP seems to be going against the wishes of TDP and YCP. Having gone through Janasena's sudden emergence in AP and Telangana political picture, political analysts envisaged that BJP was behind Power Star's political moves. Since PM Narendra Modi is planning early polls by this year end and is likely to sign the file of increase in assembly constituencies in both the Telugu states, Pawan Kalyan might have been directed by BJP's top brass to enter active politics.

BJP is also well aware of the fact that bifurcation of states changed the caste equations in AP state and which would turn beneficial to Pawan Kalyan. In addition to Power Star's craze and charisma among all sections of people, the caste equations in AP state might have prompted BJP saying 'Saaho' to Pawan Kalyan and 'Sorry' to TDP and BJP. Let's await more developments in the politics of Telugu states.
