Of late handling social issues with commercial screenplay has come like a new formula for the Box Office success of South Indian films. Very recently we have seen Vijay's Mersal blowing the Box Office with collection of 250 Crores and the same is repeating in its dubbed Telugu version Adirindi.
This film is made on the menacingg subject of corruption in present medical system looting the common people. In fact, Mersal had its own share of controversies when doctors in Tamil Nadu and other states felt insulted as the film has hurt their sentiments.
Apparently, Sundeep Kishan's C/O Surya released around the same time as Mersal also touched the same subject of Medical System where in 53 percent of doctors in service are found to be misfit for treating patients. One scene in C/O Surya is dealt very practically questioning on donation and NRI quota seats in Medical Colleges sold at exuberant prices to ineligible candidates. Whatsoever, Sundeep Kishan and director Suseenthiran are lucky to have missed the eye of doctors or else the material in this film is as explosive as Mersal.
