Director Puri Jagannadh appeared to have lost his senses in defending Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna's slap to his fan. The director delivered a controversial speech at Paisa Vasool audio launch on Thursday in Khammam.

It is a known news that Balakrishna slapped his fan when the latter was trying to take a selfie with the actor. The video has gone viral. Speaking about Balayya's act, Puri said, "Balayya doesn't need bouncers. He, himself, can control his fans and he can also beat them. Even if he slaps his fans, they like it very much. This should be treated as a love story between Balakrishna and his fans."

Having heard Puri's statement, some audience wanted to pose a straight question to Puri if the director would be ready to show his face to Balayya for a slap. "The person who got humiliated with the actor's slap could only feel the pain but not the speakers on the dais," they reckoned.

Furthermore, Puri tried to raise the political mileage to Balakrishna praising him that there was no one who loves his father as Balayya does to his late father. "Whenever, I call up to Balayya, he speaks about only two issues and they are Hindupur and his father," says Puri.
