NBK101, Charmi Shocks Buyers!

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 101st film in Puri Jagannath direction was launched recently. As reported sometime back, this project is a wholesale package deal given by producer Anand Prasad of Bhavya Creations to Puri Jagan. 

Accordingly, Charmi is overseeing entire production part including artist selection to erection of market set at Aluminum factory and arranging a crucial foreign schedule.

Apart from production, we’ve learnt that Charmi is also the supreme boss at NBK 101 pre release business and is very much in touch with buyers within domestic and overseas market. 

One of an enthusiastic overseas business player is learnt have been shocked when Charmi quoted exuberant prices for the untitled flick far and high above ‘Gauthami Puthra Satakarni.’ 

To all our knowledge, NBK is a weak hero in overseas territory. Except GPSK, none of his films fared well. 100th film euphoria, brand Krish and Telugu sentiment played crucial in turning GPSK a hit at Overseas Box Office. 

In contrast, NBK101 hasn’t got any special features. Puri’s weakest form (last film ‘Rogue’ disaster) and a regular gangster (mafia don) story are not to generate any excitement. Despite such pitfalls, Charmi demanding a price higher than GPSK may not evoke interest among traders.
