Promotional activities are part and parcel of marketing a movie to wider audience. As part of that campaign, actors meet the media and explain about the film they have on their hand. Actor Venkatesh, who is releasing his movie Guru this weekend, interacted with different sections of media. He maintained a funny vibe through out with a great sense of humour like only he does. Going into the details of the conversation, Venkatesh made it clear that he tried re-invent himself after almost thirty years and he felt completely new while enacting the scenes.

He praised the Writer-Director, Sudha Kongara for pushing him hard and imbibing his psyche with such a tough person that he was able to feel confident to try out playing a coach close to his real life age. He quipped that rather than cheating ourselves in trying to look younger on screen, we need to embrace the biological changes that were highly natural without any insecurities. He surprised by faithfully accepting that for him filmmaking was always a business and before approaching any movie, he tried to confirm the subject to have a minimum appeal with the audience.

On a lighter note, he suggested that whenever he planned to make prior announcements about his future career plans, something or the other always went south. He had great words for Rana Daggubati and said that he was impressed by the progress of his career. He wished him success that reverberates his name in the hearts of film lovers forever. Known for his philosophical inclination, he had strong opinions about the possibility of maturity in story selection of Telugu actors. He said and we quote, "Mankind is confused and man is watching TV by throwing away the remote."
