More or less, Chiranjeevi’s 151st film is confirmed to be ‘Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy’ in Surender Reddy direction still waiting for an official word. Behind the doors, Surender Reddy and Paruchuri Brothers are fine tuning the final version of script to assure a sure shot blockbuster quality project.

Coming to Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy story, he comes from a local chieftain that is Polygar family in Kurnool district and commanded 66 villages in Rayalaseema district with a private army of 2000 soldiers. When Seema was ceded to Britishers by Nizam king, the conflict of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy refusing to share the revenue with district collector Thomas Monroe led to first armed uprising revolt against British in the first Telugu geographic portion of South India.

After many battles to catch Narasimha Reddy, finally Britishers caught him in October 1846. To create fears among other freedom fighters by terrorizing them, Collector Kokcrane hanged Narasimha Reddy on February 22, 1847 publicly and kept the head hanging to Koilakuntla fort for about 30 years till 1877.

Director Surender Reddy wants to present both the heroism and brutal hanging of Uyyalawada’s head authentically without any filter. Here is the bone of contention, how far Mega Fans will accept the tragic ending for a valiant story and that too with Chiranjeevi’s character death is forcing the writers to opt for a new and second climax. Let's see, what kind of screenplay they will be adopting?
