‘Ism’ Swallows All!

One big film is enough to gulp n number of small and medium budgeted films. The massive combination of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Puri Jagannath has done the trick for ‘Ism’ because this average rated flick has almost swallowed the presence of rest four movies released in the market on same date. In contrast, ‘Ism’ also hasn’t got any mind blowing numbers or record breaking collections. 

As per the trade reports we received, ‘Ism’ collected a share of approximately Rs. 7 Crores by the completion of first weekend (including Overseas collections). These are of course, new benchmarks in Kalyan Ram’s career but not enough for buyers to get safe. 

Effect of ‘Ism’ is adversely felt on ‘Premam’ coming to a halt while ‘Nandini Nursing Home, L7, Shankara, Tanu Vachchenanta’ are finding it tough to recover theater rents and promotion expenditure. Let us see, how many of these movies will float till the time when ‘Kashmora’ and ‘Dharma Yogi’ hit screens this week.
