Despite divided talk generated on day 1 for ‘Majnu,’ prospects are still good for the film to collect decent numbers owing to Nani factor. In a simple analysis on what helped Nani’s last three to four movies to click and why the same isn’t carried for ‘Majnu,’ the striking observation one can find is the shouldering from heroines.

Lavanya Tripathi in ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy,’ Mehrene in ‘Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gadha’ and Niveda Thomas in ‘Gentleman’ have delivered rave performances. For a film to surpass from average to above average or from hit to super hit status, support from heroines is going to be a crucial part. In much better terms, the way Niveda Thomas ran away with top credits in ‘Gentleman’ forced the entire show to be analyzed in other perspective.

Coming to ‘Majnu,’ such advantageous situation isn’t found. Neither Anu Emmanuel nor Priya Shri is show stealers. In a triangular love story, heroines and music should be at their best. Unfortunately, Gopi Sunder was superb while heroines served a drawback.
