Rajini Should Depend on Other Factors

Until the previous decade, a good number of films of Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth scored blockbusters owing to the star power of Rajini. Rajini's heroism was merely the factor for the successes of those films. 'Chandramukhi', which got released in 2005, was, perhaps, the last blockbuster which had only Rajini's name elevated in the film. 

Post 'Chandramukhi' Rajini scored an above average 'Sivaji' and blockbuster 'Robo'. But then, director Shankar was another key factor in the successes of those movies. Heroines like Aishwarya Rai and India's top musician AR Rehaman were other factors associated with those films. Rajini was the only name which got highlighted in the past three films of the star such as 'Kochadaiyaan', 'Lingaa' and 'Kabali'. Unfortunately, all these films were bombed at the box office. Moreover, Rajini looked not so energetic and active in these films.

Rajini is currently teaming up with India's top director Shankar for '2.0'. The movie is being made as the costliest film of India which had Bollywood's top star Akshay Kumar in antagonist role. Amy Jackson is the lady lead. Since many key factors have been involved in the making of '2.0', Rajinikanth can't get the whole credit of the movie's success or failure but success maybe assured. According to the analysts, Rajini, hereafter, should depend on various other factors in his movies like high end graphics, top directors, top musicians, top rated Bollywood and South heroines to get his movies scoring blockbusters.
