Drama Acting Doesn't Work out in Films!

Ever since world's all time best playwright Shakespeare got Globe Theater, an Elizabethan Playhouse, constructed in London in 1599, there had been an emergence of stage Drama across the world. Although the stage Drama existed 2500 year ago, it got significance in an organized manner from 17th century. 

Well stage Drama was very familiar in AP as well till a few decades ago. Both cinema and Drama would offer plentiful entertainment to the audience parallelly. However, until early 1980s, many film actors would perform like stage Drama artists. Their overdose of makeup, uttering lengthy dialogues, shouts between the dialogues, uneven intonation in dialogues, artificiality in action sequences and over usage of dupes, mass drill style of dancing were frequently seen in movies then. 

But then, superstars like Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Kamal Haasan, Mohan Lal, Mammootty and other heroes changed the style of Telugu cinema completely in their generation. Telugu cinema picked up speed and quick momentum in every department afterwards. Gradually, method acting replaced Drama acting in movies. Whoever performs in an impeccable and subtle manner can be treated as the best actor now. Besides, grace in dances, body language and action sequences are definitely the strengths of a top hero nowadays. 

However, some of the people of previous generations who seem to be fond of stage Dramas may take a dig at the performances of present day artists as they accustomed to watch only Dramas. Their views can be understood and respected as Dramas are the part of our traditions.Meanwhile, it is also noticed recently that some of the people who do not know even minute aspects of acting also criticize and analyse the acting skills of actors. As some of their favourite heroes lacked the grace, following and style of other heroes it is obvious they prefer variable ways to criticize their opponent heroes. All in all, the hero, who enthralls the audiences to greater quarters with his performance and makes his film creating collection records at the box office, stands top and other things come as secondary.
