T Govt's Film Awards Should Not Be Like Nandi Awards

Nandi Awards were presented to the excellence in cinematic achievements by the government of united Andhra Pradesh till 2011. They were first presented in 1964. However, there was a big break in presenting the Awards from 2011.

It was known that the united AP government received numerous complaints from many people for presenting the Awards to undeserved cast and crew of movies. Especially, 2009 onwards Nandi Awards were criticized more than like anything. 

In the meanwhile, Telangana government has decided to revive the Nandi Awards with the change of its name that symbolizes Telangana's heritage and culture. Well, Tollywood lovers wish the Telangana Government to take the following recommendations into consideration for the transparency of Awards.

* Nandi Awards lost their credibility as the relatives of some of the heroes and other actors were inducted into the award committees. That's why, many star heroes and technicians were gossiped to have received the Awards. Telangana governmenet should not entertain relatives of the actors and technicians into award committees.

* Straight and remake Telugu movies should be considered for Awards. The biggest failure of Nandi Awards is that then government didn't consider remake films for Awards. As such private Awards like Filmfare got more reputation and credibility than Nandi Awards.

* T government filled with full of honest and talented politicians. They should not entertain jealous one or two old technicians as they have capabilities of molesting honest politicians.

* If possible, ballot voting should be implemented for selecting the best actors and technicians and it will be done in good number of A,B,C and D category centers of Telangana.

* Some of the award committee members lacked the basic knowledge on movies those days. T-government should contemplate conducting some entrance tests to recruit the award committee members. 

* Prime importance should be given to the actors and technicians of the blockbusters including small and big budgeted movies. Separate award system should be reinforced to encourage parallel cinema.
