Megastar Chiranjeevi along with other top brass of the Congress Party such as APCC President Raghuveera Reddy, C Ramachandraiah, Pallamraju, Vatti Vasanth Kumar and others were taken into custody at Rajahmundry airport while they were on their way to Kirlampudi to express their solidarity to Mudragada Padmanabham's hunger strike.

However, Chiranjeevi and his supporters were seen protesting with the arrest. Chiranjeevi fired at the AP government. He said that it was an undemocratic means of arrest by the TDP government on the Congress leaders. He also remembered the TDP's head Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders of the TDP, were also indulged in protests when they were in opposition.

Now that the AP government gave assurances such as inclusion of Kapus into BC category and allocation of Rs.1500 crores to Kapu corporation next financial year, Mudragada ended his indefinite fast today. Kala Venkata Rao and Achchannaidu offered him lime juice such that fast unto death of Mudragada has ended.
