BB's Ticket Hike! Adv. & Disadvantages

Having pumped in a massive budget of Rs.150 crores, the producers and exhibitors of 'Baahubali' are looking for the ways to get back their investment. They are currently mulling over the plans on how to break even or better yet, profit. Having gone through brainstorming exercises, they have decided to meet Telangana IT minister KT Ramarao. The minister is currently on a visit in the US. As soon as he returns, the meeting of team 'Baahubali' may be held with KTR. If KTR gives nod to ticket prices hike, the same is expected to be implemented in both Telugu states. The hike is presumed to be upto Rs.250 in multiplexes per head while it gets doubled in single theaters. And the ticket price maybe restricted to weekends which include Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Following advantages and disadvantages maybe encountered by the makers with ticket prices hike. 

ADVANTAGES: 

* Opening collections of the movie maybe phenomenal. 

* If the movie gets hit talk, there will be bright chances for the movie to reach break even in a short period of time.

* The movie has good chances to break all the existing collection records of Tollywood. 

* Many big filmmakers may also approach the government in future seeking ticket prices hike.

* Many filmmakers may come forward to produce larger than life movies like 'Baahubali'. 

* Producers, distributors and exhibitors will get benefited to the core with ticket prices hike.

DISADVANTAGES:

* If a family wants to watch the movie in a multiplex theater, it has to spend a total of Rs.1500 with all other expenses. For single theater audiences, the expenditure will be upto Rs.1000. 

* The movie must carry hit talk under any circumstances. Otherwise, audiences may think twice whether to watch the movie or not. 

* The audiences expect many 'wow' factors in the movie apart from heart touching elements and sensitive love story. 

* Repeat audiences maybe decreased in number. 

* Canteen owners and cycle stand owners may not be benefited with ticket prices hike.

TO SUM UP: Having gone through above analysis, it appears ticket price hike may have both advantages and disadvantages. If the makers are fortunate enough, they will hit the bulls eye with ticket prices hike. Wish them good luck with their new idea.
