Victory Venkatesh and Power Sta Pawan Kalyan's 'Gopala Gopala' got rave reviews but above average word of mouth on the day one of its release. Having seen the heavy drops in pre festive days, none could imagine the movie would do exceptionally well and generate record collections at the box office. At the end of its second weekend's run, 'Gopala Gopala' was estimated to have made Rs.38+ crores share world wide. In some of the areas the movie has already entered safe zone, while in other areas, the movie needs steady collections for one more week.

On the other side, South Indian top director Shankar's 'I' received negative reports on the day one of its release. Had any other movie generated such an utter flop talk, the movie would end up with a maximum of double digit( Rs.10 crores) of collections in its full run. However, Shankar's magic and Sankranthi holidays have created wonders. At the end of its first weekend run, the movie collected around Rs.28 crores through its Telugu version world wide. If the movie does well for some more days, the movie will surely end up as another hit venture for Shankar. If not, buyers will incur minor losses which are far better when we take initial talk of the movie into consideration.
