A Section of T-wood Cries on Allu

To celebrate 100 years completion of Indian Cinema, the Government of India issued a set of 50 commemorative stamps depicting 50 iconic personalities of Indian Cinema. SV Ranga Rao, Savitri and Allu Ramalingaiah were included in the list from tollywood. Ever since the revelation of these names, a section of tollywood people started crying on the inclusion of Allu Ramalingaiah in the list. Looking into the biography of Allu, it can be understood that he completely deserved for getting any kind of great honour.

* Allu Rama Lingaiah acted 1016 movies in a time span of 51 years, from 1953 to 2004. 

* He established one of the biggest production houses, Geetha Arts.

* He was the recipient of Padma Sri Award(1990) and Raghupathi Venkaiah(2001). 

* As a freedom fighter, he was arrested during Quit India Movement. 

* As a social worker, he donated his eyes posthumously to Chiranjeevi's Eye Bank. 

ADVICE TO THOSE WHO CRY ON ALLU: Instead of crying on the legendary personalities of tollywood, the bigwigs should agitate for conferring Padma awards to tollywood legends like SV Ranga Rao, Savitri etc. by the Government of India.
