How is 'Pandantikapuram' So Special?

One of most memorable movies of tollywood, 'Pandantikapuram' has completed 40 years on 21st July, 2012. Superstar Krishna's brother G.Hanumantha Rao produced this movie. There were many specialties in this movie which made it so special. Have a look at some of them. 

* One of the all time great actors of tollywood, S.V.Ranga Rao played the eldest brother role in the movie, while Krishna played younger brother role. 

* Jayasudha made her debut through this movie. However, her real name 'Sujatha' was seen in the titles of this movie. Her name was changed as Jayasudha later as there was one more heroine in tollywood with the same name as Sujatha. 

* Top heroines Jamuna and B.Saroja Devi played the negative shaded roles in this movie. Jamuna's 'Rani Malini Devi's character received great applause from the people then.

* This movie stands as one of the best among the family oriented entertainers. 

* Music director S.Kodandapani himself sang the song 'Idigo devudu chesina bommaa'. 

* The movie's hundred days function was held in Vijayawada city. Late NTR was the chief guest of the function.
