Arrangements are progressing at a brisk pace at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre at Madhapur for the marriage ceremony of actor Jr NTR with Lakshmi Pranathi with both the bride and groom's close relatives being completely involved in the preparations.
According to the family members, a Kalyana Mandapam is being erected at a cost of a whopping Rs 18 crore under the supervision of Art Director Anand. Around 300 workers are working day and night to complete it in time for the auspicious moment. Audio and songs from late NTR’s movies will be played at the venue, on request from junior NTR. Massive LCD screens will play the videos of the songs from the actor’s films, as well of the hits of his late grandfather NT Rama Rao.
Besides this, a special song has been composed by Arjun for the wedding and Chaitanya Krishna and Geetha Madhuri have sung the track, while Vasanth has penned the lyrics. Meanwhile the traditional clothes which would be worn by Junior NTR are ready. These clothes alone are said to have cost Rs 30 lakh. The clothes which the bridegroom will wear is made out of silk and will be decked with jewels.
The suit and other traditional and modern clothes which Junior NTR will wear has been purchased in London by the actor himself. According to information, these clothes have been purchased at a cost or around Rs 63 lakhs, including the trips made there. The actor made the trips to London to buy the clothes on the repeated request of his would-be father-in-law.
As for the bride Lakshmi Pranathi, she will be draped in silk saree woven with pure gold and silver zari. The saree will feature an elephant motif that has been expertly crafted near the border. Lakshmi Pranathi is said to have bought a saree worth Rs 50 lakh for the wedding day and two more in the range of 20 lakh for the pre-wedding ceremonies.
