Bobby Deol To Play Villain Against Alia Bhatt

Bobby Deol who shot to fame with Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has been flooded with offers ever since the film's release. Though he has a limited screen time in the film, Bobby has created a lasting impression with his action even with no dialogues as he played dumb in the film. Now he is casted in a villain role for the next film in the YRF Spy Universe.

The film reportedly features Alia Bhatt in the main role, marking the first in the Spy Universe films to have a female lead. She is playing an agent in the film, and the same goes for Bunty Aur Babli 2 fame Sharvari Wagh. The director of the film is Shiv Rawail, who recently helmed the Netflix show The Railway Men. Reportedly the film will go on floors later this year.

The YRF Spy Universe films started with 2012's Salman Khan-starrer Ek Tha Tiger, and since then there were three Tiger films, War and Pathaan got released so far. War 2 is currently in production where Hrithik Roshan and NTR are playing main roles. Tiger vs Pathaan is all in the pipeline. 

Bobby Deol recently earned the audience's appreciation and won Best Supporting Actor at the 2023 Filmfare Awards for his antagonist role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, opposite Ranbir Kapoor. On the other hand, Bhatt played the role of a hacker in her Hollywood debut film, Heart of Stone, opposite Gal Gadot.
