However, amidst these speculations, reports have emerged indicating that the project has faced delays.

Recent reports suggest that the film's delay is not due to costume issues, as previously rumored, but rather due to various internal issues that need to be resolved. As a result, the shooting of the film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, may not begin until 2025.

Earlier, there were rumors that Janhvi Kapoor had replaced Sai Pallavi as Sita. However, these rumors were dismissed as baseless.

While it was speculated that Nitesh Tiwari would make an announcement about the film on April 17, 2024, which is Ram Navami, there seems to be no such plan currently. This news comes as a disappointment to fans eagerly awaiting updates on "Ramayana."

The epic historical saga is expected to be a visual spectacle with a budget of 500 crores. Sunny Deol is rumored to have been approached to play Lord Hanuman, with a reported salary of 45 crores. Yash may play Ravana, Bobby Deol as Kumbhakarna, and Vijay Sethupathi as Vibhishan.

While the release date of "Ramayana" has not been announced yet, it is anticipated to hit theaters sometime in 2025.
