Ajith market reached a standstill. Despite being a superstar in Kollywood, Ajith Kumar has struggled to expand his fan base in the Telugu states, unlike his arch-rivals Rajinikanth and Vijay, who have found success with Telugu viewers. A distributor noted that Ajith Kumar lags behind his rivals in Telugu states because many of his films have failed to resonate with Telugu movie buffs. However, Ajith is now collaborating with Telugu producers in an effort to establish a presence in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Director Adhik's earlier time travel film, "Mark Antony," generated some buzz, contributing to Ajith's efforts to gain traction in the region.

While Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth have enjoyed a strong Telugu fan base for decades, Vijay has been successful in expanding his reach in the two Telugu states with films like "Adhirindi," "Sarkar," and "Leo." Vijay has managed to build a market of around Rs 20 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, whereas Ajith Kumar's dubbing market hovers around Rs 3 to 4 crore. Ajith's upcoming film, "Good Bad Ugly," is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, which could help him gain more traction among Telugu viewers and expand his market in the region.

Despite competition from rivals like Suriya, Karthi, Vishal, and Vijay Antony, who are making inroads into the Telugu states, Ajith faces a challenge with his next big production. While Ajith's films like "Vaali" have performed well in Telugu, there hasn't been a consistent effort to capitalize on that success. It is crucial for Ajith to step up and compete more aggressively in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to challenge his rivals and secure a stronger foothold in the region.
