In deference to the  directions of the State Human Rights Commission, Kurnool District Collector Ramshankar Naik on Saturday appointed a Task Force to oversee the enrolment of Sambhavi in a formal school. Sambhavi who has been touted as an incarnation of Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama, was admitted to a Vedic school in Dharmasala in Himachal Pradesh.

In this connection, the Collector wrote to Kangara District Collector in Himachal Pradesh to ensure that Sambhavi attends the Vedic School regularly.

He has asked the Kangara district collector to submit a report to him in this connection. However, the school has faxed a letter to district administration stating documents pertaining to Sambhavi's admission into the school.

The Collector also appointed District Education Officer M Ramalingam as inquiry officer in this connection. The collector said he would implement the SHRC orders in letter and spirit.

If Sambhavi returns to Kurnool, she would be admitted to a local school. “It is the responsibility of the family to send the child to school and protect the child rights,” he said.
