Etela accuses Congress leaders of defaming TRS Govt

Finance Minister Etela Rajender has accused the Congress leaders of defaming the TRS Government by leveling baseless allegations.

Speaking to media persons in Karimnagar on Friday, Etela said that the Congress leaders were in a state of depression since they lost 2014 elections. Therefore, in order to come out of depression, they are leveling baseless allegations against the TRS Government to get some fake satisfaction. He said that the people of Telangana were extreme happy with the performance of KCR Government and they would not respond to the wrong propaganda being carried out by the Congress party.

The Finance Minister also said that the TRS Government was firm on its commitment to set up medical colleges in each of 10 erstwhile district of Telangana. However, he said it was not possible to establish a government medical college in Karimnagar at the government level due to existence of two private medical colleges in the districts. Condemning the protest by ex-MP Ponnam Prabhakar over government medical college, he asked why the Congress leader did not fight for it when he was the MP.

Etala informed that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao would launch the renovation works for Sriram Sagar Project on August 10. He said that the SRSP was being renovated to provide irrigation water to Karimnagar, Warangal, Nalgonda, Khammam and Medak district.
