"The brutal and barbaric torture of Dalits and BCs in police custody in Sircilla, the handcuffing of tribal farmers in Khammam, the suspicious death of a Dalit in Manthani, Veenavanka rape case are but a few examples of atrocities and injustice to Dalits, Tribals and BCs in the present TRS Government," Uttam Kumar Reddy said. He said an overwhelming majority of all Dalits, tribals and BCs had actively participated in the separate Telangana state agitation with the hope that their lives would markedly improve in a separate Telangana state. The TRS party had made many major promises to Dalits, Tribals and BCs in their election manifesto. Not only have the election promises been ignored, but grave injustice is being done to them now by the TRS Government, he said.

The TPCC President said thousands of Congress workers and general public would participate in the protest meeting at Sircilla on July 31.
