TS Cabinet Sub-Committee to study impact of GST

The Cabinet Sub-Committee on Major Industries has reviewed the possible impact of implementation of Goods & Services Tax in the Telangana State.

The Committee met at MCR HRD Institute here on Thursday to review the circumstances that aroused after the implementation of GST. The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Etala Rajender, Major Industries Ministers K. Tarakarama Rao and senior officials of Finance, Sales Tax, Industries and Revenue departments.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed the incentives being given to industries and its impact on the State's exchequer. It was also decided to hire a consultant to study the overall impact of GST on Telangana's revenues. The consultant would be asked to submit a report within two weeks and the same would be placed in the next meeting of Cabinet Sub-Committee.

Later, KTR held discussions with senior officials on Ease of Doing Business.
