KCR condoles demise of Umapathi Padmanabha

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has expressed shock over the demise of well-known scholar and one of the foremost short story writers Umapathi Padmanabha Sarma.

The Chief Minister has hailed the literary contributions made by Padmanabha Sarma. He has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace.

KCR has felicitated 90-year-old Padmanabha Sarma for his contribution to the literature in the state formation day celebrations last month and handed over special memento to him. Sarma happened to be a teacher to the Chief Minister. Sarma died in his house in Siddipet this afternoon.
