Jana Reddy condemns TRS for attack on Komatireddy

Leader of Opposition in Telangana Assembly K. Jana Reddy on Wednesday condemned the attack by TRS workers on Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkatreddy during the inauguration of Orange Market Yard in Nalgonda on Tuesday. He also condemned Komatireddy's arrest by the police.

Speaking to media persons here, Jana Reddy alleged that the TRS workers pelted stones on Komatireddy's convoy which resulted in many Congress leaders and workers including Komatireddy suffering injuries. He said several Congress workers were also injured in the lathicharge by the police. He demanded that the State Government withdraw all the cases registered against Congress workers and provide better treatment to the injured persons.

Jana Reddy announced that he would soon visit Nalgonda to discuss and finalise the future strategy.

Meanwhile, speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan today, TPCC Vice-President Dr. Mallu Ravi said that the attack on Komatireddy has exposed the 'goondaism' of TRS Government. He alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has engineered the attack as he wants to establish his dictatorship by intimidating opposition leaders.
