On behalf of all the members of the House, Telangana State Legislative Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudhan Chary has thanked BJP floor leader G. Kishan Reddy for his spirit in running the House in a democratic manner.  As soon as the Speaker announced this, the members from the ruling party benches, including Legislative Affairs Minister T. Harish Rao, clapped the desk and also thanked Kishan Reddy.

When the Speaker was about to take up the Question Hour after the House assembly on Thursday, Energy Minister Jagdish Reddy gave a clarification. He said during the course of discussion on the issue of energy, he had made some comments which were not intentional but spontaneous. He said his comments had prompted protest from BJP members and he had went to the Well of the House. He said that he had no intention to make any comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi or anybody and requested the Speaker to expunge those remarks if they were against the rules or Parliamentary practices.

Responding to this, the BJP floor leader said during his 13 year long career as MLA, he never entered the Well of the House although he took part in several protests along with other opposition parties. However, he said it was for the first time that he crossed the border of the Well on Wednesday. Express regret over his action, he apologised for the same.

The Speaker thanked Kishan Reddy for his contribution in running the House in a democratic manner and assured that after going through the records the objectionable comments made by the minister would be removed from the record.
