Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has accused the main opposition Congress of creating hurdles in the development of Telangana State.

Addressing a public meeting in Kuravi of Dornakal Assembly segment in Mahabubabad district on Friday, the Chief Minister said that the Congress leaders have been resorting to baseless criticism against his government. He said even the donations made various temples to fulfill the vow for formation of Telangana was being criticised by the Congress party. He said that the Congress leaders have lost their sleep since the TRS Government initiated the construction of irrigation projects in the State.

The Chief Minister said that it was the Congress party which ruled the State for over 40 years. However, it never gave importance to irrigation projects in Telangana which badly irrigation and agriculture growth. After coming to power in 2014, the TRS Government went aggressive in completing the irrigation project. But the Congress party is trying to stall those projects by creating legal hurdles or other means. 

KCR also listed out various schemes being implemented by his government in the State.

He also announced financial assistance of Rs. 5 crore for the development of Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Temple in Kuravi.
