Hyderabad, Jan  26: Congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs from Telangana region have put off their proposed trip to Delhi following the news  that the  Centre will come out with a clear-cut statement on Telangana in a couple of days.The Congress leaders were advised to stay in Hyderabad and make every effort to restore normalcy in the state which is the first step towards solving the problem of simmering discontent on Telangnana issue.

Leaders like Jana Reddy  and Damodar Reddy who already left for Delhi on Monday have cut short their tour and  are returning to Hyderabdad today.The Congress HIgh Command has indicated to the leaders to leave Delhi for Hyderabad immediately. Only after  reaching  Hyderbad the High Command will make its decison known, they were told.In view of cancelled trip to Delhi, the Congress MPs, ministers, MLAs and MLCs  are meeting  at the New MLA Quarters by 2 p.m.

During the meeting the Congress leaders will hold detailed discussion on the situation prevailing in the region and the pros and cons of the JAC's call to all elected representatives to press for acceptance of their resignations if no announcement was forthcoming by January 28. They  will also  chalk out the future course of action.
