Next budget will be prepared in scientific manner: Etala

Telangana Finance Minister Etala Rajender said that the State Government was preparing the budget for financial year 2017-18 by taking into account the impact of implementation of GST and demonitisation.

Speaking to media persons after releasing water from Flood Flow Canal of Sriram Sagar in Karimnagar on Saturday, the Finance Minister said that the next budget would be prepared in a scientific manner. However, he said that the budget would focus on welfare and adequate funds would be allocated for various sectors. He said sufficient allocation would be made for the pension scheme for Single Women who will get Rs. 1,000 monthly pension from April this year.

Etala said that the opposition parties have failed to play a construction role and alleged that the Congress leaders could not live without power. He also accused the opposition parties of obstructing the development of Telangana.

The Finance Minister said that the State Government was implementing all scheme with completely transparency. He warned that cases under PD Act would be booked against those involved in irregularities in implementation of government schemes. Stating that construction of 2BHK houses for poor would be given priority, he said preference would be given to those living in huts.
