Naidu had prior info on demonetization: Jagan

Opposition leader in Ap Assembly and YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had prior information about the Centre’s move to demonetize the Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.

Speaking to media persons in Rajahmundry, Jagan accused the Centre of leaking the decision of demonetization to some selected persons, including TD chief Chandrababu Naidu. Jagan alleged that Naidu sold shares of Heritage Foods three days before the demonetization scheme was announced. Jagan alleged that Naidu made required adjustments to convert his black money to white.

YSRC chief said that though the demonetization decision was right in fighting black money menace, the Centre failed to implement it properly leading to severe hardships to common people.
