Demonetization: TRS hits back at Shabbir Ali’s jibe at KCR

TRS on Friday slammed the Congress saying that the Opposition party leaders were neck deep in corruption and were known for stashing black money. Speaking to media persons, MLC and TRS leader Karne Prabhakar came down heavily on Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Shabbir Ali saying that he was leveling baseless allegations on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao regarding the demonetization move of the Centre.

Shabbir Ali had recently said that the CM was aware of the demonetization move and had converted his black money to white. He said that the TRS chief was going to meet Prime Minister in this regard. The TRS MLC said that it was unfortunate that the Congress was leveling baseless allegations against the CM.

Prabhakar said that it was the Prime Minister who himself invited the Chief Minister seeking suggestions on the Centre’s move.

The TRS MLC hit out at the Congress leader saying that he was speaking without any awareness on the matter. He said that it has become the habit of the Congress leaders to level any baseless allegation against the TRS government.  He said that the CM had already found fault with the Centre’s demonetization saying that it would pose severe hardships to the poor and the middle class. The CM is regularly monitoring the situation arising out of demonetization drive with top officials of the government and is taking steps to ease people’s hardships, he said. 

The TRS legislator said that the demonetization drive has hit the revenue of the state.
