Reviewing the arrangements at various Pushkar Ghats in the state from police command control centre in Vijayawada on Saturday through virtual inspection with the help of drone surveillance and CC TV cameras, the CM said that the government has been using technology for effective management of Krishna Pushkaram and to ensure hassle free holy dip for pilgrims.

He said that Kaizala App was developed to get feedback from pilgrims to rectify lapses to increase satisfaction levels among people visiting the city for Krishna Pushkaram. The CM reviewed the sanitation conditions at several Ghats by virtual inspection using drone surveillance and CC TV cameras and noticed water on the steps of a Ghat. Immediately he summoned the duty official at the site and asked for reasons for stagnation of water. The CM asked the sanitary staff to clean the area immediately.

The Chief Minister stressed the need for linking the education with important events including Krishna Pushkaram. He said that the data available on the CC TVs will be sent to engineering colleges and students will be asked to audit the arrangements. Basing on their reports, the government will make changes for the convenience of pilgrims.

He said that students should develop creative and innovative thinking. He said the ideas of students will be considered and if necessary incubation centres would be set up to study and develop the project.

Condemning the reports in some section of media on the presence of e-coli bacteria in Krishna water, the CM clarified that there is no bacteria in the Krishna water. He said that they are releasing water from Pulichintala for free flow of water at Pushkar Ghats. He alleged that some persons are trying to malign the image of government by making false propaganda.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to distribute butter milk free of cost at various Ghats in view of prevailing hot weather.
