Chandrababu Naidu said that the Centre has deferred conduct of NEET this year on his representation thus providing relief to thousands of students. However, as per the Supreme Court orders, NEET would be compulsory from next year across the country.

The Chief Minister said that his Government aspires to turn Andhra Pradesh into a knowledge hub. He said nearly 10,000 teachers, selected under DSC, would be given appointment letters by 1st June. From next academic year onwards, he said all universities, degree and junior colleges in the State would get Wifi facilities. He said Digital Classes would also be established in colleges. He said Wifi facility might be extended to high schools in near future.

Earlier, Chandrababu Naidu released the EAMCET results and announced that six out of 10 toppers were girls. Machani Hemalatha secured the first rank by scoring 156 points.
