As many as 30 MLAs of YSR Congress Party were suspended for one day from the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Wednesday for stalling the proceedings demanding CBI probe into the alleged land scam in State's new capital Amravati.

The YSRCP MLAs disrupted the speech of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Motion of Thanks on address by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan. In his reply, Naidu denied the allegations and claimed that the land pooling for Amravati was done in a totally transparent manner. However, the YSRCP MLAs insisted on CBI enquiry into the allegations and rushed to the well to press for their demand.

The YSRCP MLAs did not listen to the repeated requests made by Speaker Dr. Kodela Siva Prasad Rao for restoring normalcy in the House. Consequently, Legislative Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu moved a motion for suspension of YSRCP MLAs from the House for one day.

Earlier, Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that several TDP leaders were involved in the land scam and demanded CBI probe.

The suspended MLAs include Adi Narayana Reddy, Anil Kumar, Amjad Basha, Chevi Reddy, Chand Basha, Eshwari, Govardhan, Jaggi Reddy, Jai Ram, Kalawathi, Kalpana, SV Mohan Reddy, Shaik Mustafa, Mutyala Naidu, Narayan Swamy, Pratap Kumar Reddy, Pushpa, Raghuram Reddy, Rajanna Dora, Rajendra Nath, Rajeshwari, Ram Chander Reddy, Rama Krishna Reddy and Ravi Kumar.
