KCR wants to erase Hyderabad's heritage: Bhatti

Strongly opposing the shifting of Osmania General Hospital, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of trying to erase the rich heritage of Hyderabad.

Bhatti was to speaking to media persons after visiting the OGH along with Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao, former minister D Nagender, ex-MP M Anjan Kumar Yadav, former Mayor Banda Karthika Chandra Reddy and other leaders. He said that there were several heritage buildings across the country, which are centuries old. Instead of demolishing those buildings, proper steps were taken for their restoration and preservation. He said OGH building signifies the rich heritage and architectural history of Hyderabad. Instead of taking steps for its preservation, KCR wants to demolish the heritage building.

Bhatti announced that the Congress party would not allow the demolition of OGH building and would launch massive protest for its protection.
