Centre yet to decide on Section-8: KTR

Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao on Saturday claimed that the Central Government was yet to take a decision on the implementation of Section 8 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.

Speaking to media persons after meeting Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley here, KTR said that the Section - 8 issue was created by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu after he got trapped in the 'Cash for Vote' case. He said that the Centre was yet to take a decision on whether or not to invoke the Section 8. He said that the Governor could be given Law and Order powers without making amendments in the Constitution of India.

KTR also claimed that Jailtely has appreciated the new industrial policy of Telangana Government.
