Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced that the State Government would issued notifications for filling up 25,000 posts in various departments in the month of July.

Addressing the main official celebration of Telangana Formation Day at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on Tuesday, the Chief Minister listed out various steps taken by his government in the last one year for the development of Telangana. He admitted that the government could not taken fill up vacant posts due to several legal hurdles and delay in bifurcation of employees. However, he said that the government would issue notification by next month to fill up at least 25,000 posts.

Kcr reiterated his government's commitment to provide 12% reservation for Muslims and Scheduled Tribes. He said that the State Government had already constituted separate committees and the process to give reservation would be initiated after the committees submit their reports.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government has been spending Rs. 28,000 crore every year for the welfare of different sections of the society. He said that the government launched a unique scheme Kalyani Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak wherein Rs 51,000 cash is being provided at the time of marriage of poor girls belong to SC, ST and minority communities. He said that the government has enhanced the widow and old age pension to Rs 1,000 per month while Physical Handicapped people are being paid Rs 1,500 pension every month.

Kcr claimed that his government has proved the propaganda wrong which claimed that Telangana would face energy crisis after bifurcation. He said that the government has decided to generate 21,000 MW by spending Rs. 91,000 crore. By 2018, Telangana would be an energy surplus State. Besides providing 24x7 power supply to all consumers, especially industries, Telangana will be able to sell excess power to other States.

The Chief Minister also announced that works on Rs. 35,000 Crore Palamur Lift Irrigation Project would begin soon. This project would provide safe drinking water to fluoride affected Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar districts. He said that the government would fulfill its promise of providing double bedroom flats with hall, kitchen and toilet to the poor people. Rs 2500 crore will be spent on the project and each unit will be constructed at a cost of Rs 5 lakh.

Earlier, the Chief Minister hoisted national flag and took salute of police parade. He also felicitated 52 personalities representing 32 different sections of the society. They were honoured with memento, shawl and a cheque of Rs 1.16 lakh. State Ministers, legislators and senior officials were present on the occasion.
