Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday held a review meeting on 'Swachh Hyderabad' programme which was held in the city from 16th to 20th May.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to create awareness among the people about the usage of separate bins for wet and dry waste. He said this would facilitate easier disposal of garbage in a hygienic manner. He announced that auto-trolleys would be provided to unemployed youth and the same could be used for lifting of garbage from various localities. He also asked the officials to ensure that garbage and debris is removed from the city road at frequent intervals with the active cooperation of shop keepers.

KCR also directed the officials to take immediate measures to remove hi-tension wires which are located close to houses and apartments. He said that complaints of drinking water contamination should be attended on priority basis and it should be ensured that water and drainage lines are aligned separately.

The Chief Minister also sought detailed proposals on the weaker section housing programme in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
