Etala Rajender for a people's movement on Telangana

Hyderabad,Dec 5: Telangana Rashtra Samithi floor leader in the State Assembly Etala Rajender on Saturday urged the Centre and the State Government to take a immediate decision on the Telangana statehood issue as the TRS leaders and students have intensified their agitation for the cause.He told mediapersons the TRS would soon launch a people’s movement in support of the issue.The party would soon launch a people’s agitation for Telangana region,he said.The Congress should open its eyes and respond positively to the formation of a separate Telangana state.

He urged the Government to convene a meeting of all parties for a consensus on the formation of a separate state. He said the Congress would be held responsible for the consequences if it did not make its stand clear on the issue.He also urged all Telangana MPs to mount pressure on the ruling party to bring in a bill in Parliament for granting statehood to the region in the present session only.Rajender said a TRS delegation will also meet BJP leader L.K  Advani and other national leaders in Delhi seeking their solidarity for the Telangana cause and agitation.
