Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao on Friday dismissed the allegations that TRS Government was against the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project.

Speaking to media persons after inaugurating the Institute of Metro and Rail Technology here, KTR said that the State Government was not against the Metro Rail Project. However, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has expressed some concerns over the possible damage to heritage structures to facilitate the project. He said that the government plans to expand the Metro Rail at massive scale and its run could be extended up to 250 km radium as part of project to make Hyderabad an international city.

Meanwhile, HMRL Managing Director NVR Reddy informed that the trial run of HMRL between Nagole and Mettuguda would begin from Ugadi, the Telugu New Year Day.
