The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday questioned Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh ESL Narasimhan in connection with the alleged irregularities in the procurement of AgustaWestland VVIP choppers for 556.262 million Euros (Rs.3,726.96 crore).

The questioning, according to sources, lasted for over nearly 90 minutes. The Cbi officials, who reached the city from New Delhi, questioned Narasimhan as a witness in the graft case under Cr PC 161 (A). He is the third Governor after BV Wanchoo and MK Narayanan to be quizzed by the Cbi as witnesses. Both of them later resigned from their posts.
